If you ask people why they do the things they do in life, they will give you sensible sounding reasons which seem to explain their decisions. We like to believe that we exercise sound judgment, especially in the important decisions of our lives.

We of NHL:1 know that this is rarely true.

I think that standard operating procedure for human decision making is to do what feels right to you at the time, and then to give logical sounding justifications for what you were already going to do anyway, whether you had justifications or not.

So ladies of NHL:1, let me ask... let's say that if you are pregnant, and want to get an abortion, would you be able to give any number of reasonable sounding explanations why this is the right decision?

Below is what I gathered about Pixie and her "reasonable sounding explanations"...

"I am not ready to be a parent. I need to finish off my education to get to a better point in my career, my life. I don't have enough money to feed another mouth, let alone enough money to satisfy my own cravings and needs."

In either case, none of those mentioned was the real reason for your decision, Pixie. The real reason for your decision will always be, "I did it because I wanted to do it".

If instead you wanted to keep the baby, you could have explained to the boys and girls of chat how even though you will have some extra difficulties due to the lack of money or whatever, you will certainly be up to the challenge to make your life work with the baby, how being a parent will be good for you, what a great parent you'll make, how it will bring you and the father closer together, and so on. But no Pixie, you chose murder.

Did you stop and think about what your significant other might have to say about this? Why is it that you did not discuss your pregnancy with him, or family members? You chose instead the chat scrap of NHL:1 to discuss your "problem" with. Unfortunately in 1988, the Supreme Court decided that a husband has no right to stop his wife from having an abortion, let alone a one-night stand, or whoever he is or was to you.

Was it a NHL:1 chatter, Pixie that knocked you up?

I'm thinking Pixie, that you're very uneducated about the truth about abortion and assume that since it is legal, it must be morally acceptable as well.

I was told by one of the chatters that you did visit Planned Parenthood upon confirmation of your pregnancy. Did Planned Parenthood assist in planning your murder, Pixie? Did they assist in giving your child a name, Pixie? What was your child's name Pixie?

How much pain do you think your child was in as its arms, legs, head and torso was violently pulled and twisted apart, and removed from your womb? It was a slow painful death no doubt. Slow because the doctors I'm sure wanted to avoid injuring you and possibly having a lawsuit thrown against them. Something you probably hoped for.

Did Planned Parenthood explain to you that your child will have a dreadful frozen look of terror on its face resulting from the unimaginable pain of an abortionist ripping and tearing its body apart without anesthesia?

If you so choose to enter NHL:1 again, Pixie... might I suggest you stick to hockey or baking topics? Don't embarrass yourself with your personal life and drama. No one cares. Especially if it has to do with death.

I found this question and thought I would share it with you, as well as some of the answers that were given.

My feelings are... all life has value and therefore should be respected and protected... that is until you enter NHL:1, and you bring your pathetic life's woes with you. Consider yourself free game if that occurs.
